The Kent School Boat Club was founded in 1922 on the banks of the Housatonic River as Kent School's rowing team. KSBC has three varsity boats and one fourth boat, which races in a few of the varsity races. KSBC only races in the spring, and conducts its spring training in Tampa during the school's spring vacation. In June 2010, KSBC won gold in the Men's Eight at the U.S Rowing Youth National Championship.

Famous quotes containing the words school, boat and/or club:
“Green, green is El Aghir. It has a railway station,
And the wealth of its soil has borne many another fruit:
A mairie, a school and an elegant Salle de Fetes.
Such blessings, as I remarked, in effect, to the waiter,
Are added unto them that have plenty of water.”
—Norman Cameron (b. 1905)
“Every time I get happy
the Nana-hex comes through.
Birds turn into plumbers tools,
a sonnet turns into a dirty joke,
a wind turns into a tracheotomy,
a boat turns into a corpse....”
—Anne Sexton (19281974)
“Women ... are completely alone, though they were born and bred upon this soil, as if they belonged to another class in creation.”
—Jennie June Croly 18291901, U.S. founder of the womans club movement, journalist, author, editor. F, Demorests Illustrated Monthly Mirror of Fashions, pp. 363-4 (December 1870)
