Kent County League

The Kent County League, currently known as the haart of Kent County League for sponsorship reasons, is a football competition based in Kent, England. The league has four senior divisions – a Premier Division, Division One Division Two East and West, plus reserve divisions. It sits below the Kent Invicta Football League (step 6 of the National League System) after the Invicta league's formation in 2011.

In the 2012–13 season, there are 16 clubs in the Premier Division. The bottom two clubs face relegation to the regional lower divisions. Clubs from a number of smaller district leagues may be eligible to gain promotion to the County League. In 2008 clubs from the Bromley & District League, Canterbury & District League, Maidstone & District League, Rochester & District League and the South London Alliance joined the County League.

Famous quotes containing the words kent, county and/or league:

Main Street was never the same. I read Gide and tried to
translate Proust. Now nothing is real except French wine.
For absurdity is reality, my loneliness unreal, my mind tired.
And I shall die an old Parisian.
    —Conrad Kent Rivers (1933–1968)

A horse, a buggy and several sets of harness, valued in all at about $250, were stolen last night from the stable of Howard Quinlan, near Kingsville. The county police are at work on the case, but so far no trace of either thieves or booty has been found.
    —H.L. (Henry Lewis)

He will deliver you from six troubles; in seven no harm shall touch you. In famine he will redeem you from death, and in war from the power of the sword. You shall be hidden from the scourge of the tongue, and shall not fear destruction when it comes. At destruction and famine you shall laugh, and shall not fear the wild animals of the earth. For you shall be in league with the stones of the field, and the wild animals shall be at peace with you.
    Bible: Hebrew, Job 5:19-23.
