Famous quotes containing the word death:

    Life folded Death; Death trellised Life; the grim god wived with youthful Life, and begat him curly-headed glories.
    Herman Melville (1819–1891)

    It is easy to face Death and Fate, and the things that sound so dreadful. It is on my muddles that I look back with horror—on the things that I might have avoided.
    —E.M. (Edward Morgan)

    Or if no thing but death will serve thy turn,
    Still thirsting for subversion of my state,
    Do what thou canst, raze, massacre, and burn,
    Let the world see the utmost of thy hate;
    Michael Drayton (1563–1631)
