Famous quotes containing the words attorney, general and/or election:

I always was of opinion that the placing a youth to study with an attorney was rather a prejudice than a help.... The only help a youth wants is to be directed what books to read, and in what order to read them.
    Thomas Jefferson (1743–1826)

Could anything be more indicative of a slight but general insanity than the aspect of the crowd on the streets of Chicago?
    Charles Horton Cooley (1864–1929)

The election makes me think of a story of a man who was dying. Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)
