Famous quotes containing the word death:

We achieve “active” mastery over illness and death by delegating all responsibility for their management to physicians, and by exiling the sick and the dying to hospitals. —Administration for the State of Con, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)

As in a season of autumn.
    The soldier falls.
    Wallace Stevens (1879–1955)
