Geography
Kampong Chhnang is located at the heartland of Cambodia. Most parts of the province contain fertile soil reservoirs with abundant fish and rice paddies. There are also isolated hills, such as Phnom Kong Rei near the Tonle Sap River. In the Southwestern part of the province the landscape consists of hills and forests. The Krâvanh Mountains lie along the provincial border with Kampong Speu.
