Production
The role of Sonia was first cast with Kareena Kapoor who walked out of the picture a few days after shooting had started. She was then replaced with newcomer Ameesha Patel who became a star overnight when Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai became a blockbuster.
The ship scenes were filmed aboard the Star Flyer. The island scenes were filmed in Krabi, Thailand in the area near James Bond Island.
