Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (Hindi: कहो ना प्यार है - translation: Say...You Love me) is a 2000 Bollywood romantic film directed by Rakesh Roshan. It marks the debuts of his son Hrithik Roshan and of Ameesha Patel. Hrithik plays a double role and became an overnight superstar in India.
Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai was the biggest Bollywood commercial success of 2000 and won many awards, including eight Filmfare Awards. Rakesh Roshan collected his first ever Filmfare Award, which he won as producer and as director. Hrithik Roshan became the only actor to win both, the Filmfare Award for Best Debut with the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for the same film. He was praised by young and old for his acting and dancing abilities.
Following on the success of Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, the father-and-son team went on to make several more hits including Koi... Mil Gaya and Krrish.
