Johns Creek - ZIP Code Issue

ZIP Code Issue

Johns Creek residents share five different ZIP Codes with adjoining cities: 30022 and 30005 (Alpharetta); 30097 (Duluth), 30024 (Suwanee); and 30076 (Roswell). All Johns Creek businesses and residents, except those living in the 30076 ZIP Code, are able to use Johns Creek as their mailing address as long as the ZIP Code and address are correct.

Another local city with this issue is Braselton which has its own ZIP Code and is still in five different ZIP Code areas.

City leaders have lobbied U.S. Post Office officials about the possibility of having a post office or single ZIP Code in Johns Creek, but have been told that ZIP Codes are only used to expedite mail delivery.

Famous quotes containing the words code and/or issue:

... the self respect of individuals ought to make them demand of their leaders conformity with an agreed-upon code of ethics and moral conduct.
    Mary Barnett Gilson (1877–?)

If someone does something we disapprove of, we regard him as bad if we believe we can deter him from persisting in his conduct, but we regard him as mad if we believe we cannot. In either case, the crucial issue is our control of the other: the more we lose control over him, and the more he assumes control over himself, the more, in case of conflict, we are likely to consider him mad rather than just bad.
    Thomas Szasz (b. 1920)
