Charlton Athletic
He joined Charlton permanently in July 2010 and was named the N Power league 1 player of the month for November that year. He was named club captain for the 2011–2012 season. In the same season he scored scored 13 goals, two coming from free kicks in crucial 1–0 wins against both Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United. He played prominently in the left midfield position. On 29 June 2012, Jackson signed a two-year contract extension.
