Background and Personal Life
Miller is the son of Lucinda Miller of Manhattan and the late John J. Miller. His mother is a jewelry designer. His father was a syndicated Broadway columnist and freelance magazine writer. In 2002, he married Emily Helen Altschul (born 1966), the daughter of author and botanist Siri von Reis and Arthur Altschul, a former partner at Goldman Sachs.
