Personal Life
Jim has been married to his wife Jen since July 9th, 2005. The couple has one son, Wyatt, a daughter, Olivia, and are expecting their third child in July, 2013.
In September, 2009, Jim Moss contracted Guillane-Barre Syndrome. Currently, this diagnosis has been rescinded, leaving his diagnosis as an undefined neuro-muscular disease. The Auto-immune disease stands to end Jim's professional sports career and he has been recording events about the recovery at his blog site. After keeping a private gratitude journal in the hospital and while he learned to walk again, he began to share this publicly which garnered much support. By simply writing what made him smile or that he was grateful for on a piece of paper above an image of a smile, his current project, The Smile Epidemic, was born.

Famous quotes containing the words personal life, personal and/or life:
“Wherever the State touches the personal life of the infant, the child, the youth, or the aged, helpless, defective in mind, body or moral nature, there the State enters womans peculiar sphere, her sphere of motherly succor and training, her sphere of sympathetic and self-sacrificing ministration to individual lives.”
—Anna Garlin Spencer (18511931)
“Fine art is the subtlest, the most seductive, the most effective instrument of moral propaganda in the world, excepting only the example of personal conduct; and I waive even this exception in favor of the art of the stage, because it works by exhibiting examples of personal conduct made intelligible and moving to crowds of unobservant unreflecting people to whom real life means nothing.”
—George Bernard Shaw (18561950)
“The fondness or indifference that the philosophers expressed for life was merely a preference inspired by their self-love, and will no more bear reasoning upon than the relish of the palate or the choice of colors.”
—François, Duc De La Rochefoucauld (16131680)
