Education
Jeypore is the education capital of South Orissa. There are several schools in the town such as Government Boys High School, Girls High School, Municipal High School No. I, II and III (girls), Upper Kolab Project High School, Saraswati Sishu vidya mandir. The medium of education in these schools is Oriya. Education is imparted through English medium in schools such as Modern English school, Jeypore Public school, and Deepti Convent School, DAV Model Senior Secondary School, Redwoods English School and Siddharth English Medium School. DAV Model Senior Secondary School, having started in 1970, was the first English Medium School of the town.
Government Colleges include Vikram Dev College Jeypore(http://vikramdebcollege.org/), which is one of the oldest and prominent colleges of Orissa established in 1947.The college started at the present P G Block was known as 'Jeypore College' from 1 July 1947. As a tribute to the philanthropist king, Rajarshi Vikram Deb Verma, the college was renamed to 'VIKRAM DEB COLLEGE' in 1961. The college was also upgraded to a FIRST GRADE college from 1961 and undergraduate courses were started. Honours teaching provisions were made in 1968–73 and Post Graduate courses were started from 1979. The college was declared a LEAD COLLEGE in 1991–92. The institution grew in respect of student strength, teaching facilities and quality of education from year to year providing valuable service to a large population of the area deprived of provision of higher education otherwise. Govt Women's College and Law College. Of late many private colleges have mushroomed in the town which are of little or no repute.

Jeypore also has colleges offering professional courses such as Gopal Krushna College of Engineering & Technology(GKCET), which was established in the year 1989. Jeypore college of Pharmacy is another renowned pharmacy institute which is at Jeypore. Along with it various Engineering Diploma colleges are present Institute of engineering & Management (I.E.M), www.hiitjeypore.org Hi-Tech Institute of Information & Technology(HIIT) & Jeypore School of Engineering and Technologies are prominent among them.
