Early Life

James Deen was born Bryan Matthew Sevilla in Los Angeles County, California, and raised in Pasadena, California. He is Jewish and identifies with Judaism as "a culture more than anything else". At 17, Deen moved in with his father. He worked at a Starbucks and took classes at Pasadena City College.
