Later Years
In 1948 she married Ben Bard who was a movie actor, stage actor, and acting teacher. They divorced in 1954.
Taylor and her husband of 39 years, journalist/TV producer Jack Fries, produced and co-hosted the widely-acclaimed Little Rascals Family Theater on San Diego and Los Angeles television in the mid-1970s and mid-1980s. (Segments of the show, including interviews with several former Gang members as adults, are available on home video.)
Jackie and Jack are well-known throughout California for their talks on bias in the news and Taylor’s days in Our Gang. In 1975, they moved to Kansas City to study for the ministry. Jack was ordained in 1977; Jackie in 1979. They have served churches in St. Joseph and Kansas City, Missouri; San Juan Capistrano and San Diego, California; and Reno/Carson City, Nevada.
The couple retired in Jack's home town of Sacramento. Both teach Voice Power Dynamics at Sierra College in Rocklin, California, operate their RascalandUSA.com website and speak before service clubs and civic organizations in Northern California. They were working on a mutual autobiography together called, Suddenly It’s Tomorrow, originally to be released in late 2006.
