Ivica is one of the most frequent Croatian male given names. It is also present, though rare, in Serbia. Ivica is a diminutive form of Ivan. The direct English equivalent of the name is John or Johnny, while the equivalent of its augmentative Ivan is John. Ivica is also a common character in Croatian jokes, like Perica.
