Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology (ISMB) is a scientific meeting on the subjects of bioinformatics and computational biology organized by the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB). Its principal focus is on the development and application of advanced computational methods for biological problems. It has been held annually since 1993 and has grown to the largest and most prestigious meetings in these fields. In recent years, the conference has been attended by between 1,500 and 2,000 delegates. ISMB has been rotating locations mainly between North America and Europe each year. When the meeting is in Europe it has been held jointly with the European Conference on Computational Biology (ECCB). The proceedings of the conference have been published by the journal Bioinformatics.
