Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs - Curriculum

Curriculum

SPEA is the only institution in its league with an interdisciplinary character where students can combine science and public affairs. Indiana University's other highly ranked schools and programs complement SPEA’s offerings; the school has 15 joint programs in social and natural sciences and professional fields. For example, in conjunction with the Department of Political Science, SPEA offers a Joint Ph.D. Program in Public Policy, the only one of its kind in the country. As another example, students interested in environmental studies can focus on the science or the public policy aspect under the same roof.

The Business/SPEA Information Commons on the Bloomington campus serves the research and study needs of students and faculty of both the School of Public and Environmental Affairs and the Kelley School of Business.

Famous quotes containing the word curriculum:

If we focus exclusively on teaching our children to read, write, spell, and count in their first years of life, we turn our homes into extensions of school and turn bringing up a child into an exercise in curriculum development. We should be parents first and teachers of academic skills second.
    Neil Kurshan (20th century)
