The objective of ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) is to develop space technology and its application to various tasks of national and international interest. Accordingly, it has successfully put into operation two major satellite systems, namely the Indian National Satellites (INSAT) for communication services and the Indian Remote Sensing (IRS) satellites for management for natural resources. It has also developed various launch vehicles, like the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV), etc. for launching satellites.

Famous quotes containing the word objective:

Children should know there are limits to family finances or they will confuse “we can’t afford that” with “they don’t want me to have it.” The first statement is a realistic and objective assessment of a situation, while the other carries an emotional message.
    Jean Ross Peterson (20th century)

Reason is a faculty far larger than mere objective force. When either the political or the scientific discourse announces itself as the voice of reason, it is playing God, and should be spanked and stood in the corner.
    Ursula K. Le Guin (b. 1929)

No actual skeptic, so far as I know, has claimed to disbelieve in an objective world. Skepticism is not a denial of belief, but rather a denial of rational grounds for belief.
    William Pepperell Montague (1842–1910)
