Ichthyomyzon Greeleyi

This is a management plan for the Mountain Brook Lamprey (Ichthyomyzon greeleyi). I. greeleyi is a non-parasitic lamprey that can be found in the Ohio River basin (NatureServe). It lives in slow to moderate riffles as an adult and muddy, sandy mix as larvae (NatureServe). There are two distinct phases in the life cycle of I. greeleyi (Beamish and Medland). It builds nests in groups (Raney). There is some debate over its status, but it is clear there has been some extirpation. Further there need to be further studies into their health as a species along with action to improve it.
