Ice Pops Without A Wooden Stick
An ice pop (also known as a freezer pop, freezie, ice-pole, tip top, lickstick in Australia, ice candy in the Philippines) is a snack of frozen flavored sugar water, fruit juice or fruit purée in a plastic tube, either round or flat. Prominent brands include La Fiesta, California Snow, Otter Pops, Ice Tickles, Fla-Vor-Ice, Chilly Willy (after the cartoon penguin of the same name), Pop-ice, Foxy Pop, or (in the UK, Ireland, Canada and France) Mr Freeze. They are produced in a variety of fruit flavors, including cherry, orange, lemon-lime, banana and fruit punch. In Canada ice pops are known almost exclusively as 'freezies'.

Famous quotes containing the words ice, pops, wooden and/or stick:
“When the ice is covered with snow, I do not suspect the wealth under my feet; that there is as good as a mine under me wherever I go. How many pickerel are poised on easy fin fathoms below the loaded wain! The revolution of the seasons must be a curious phenomenon to them. At length the sun and wind brush aside their curtain, and they see the heavens again.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Ill tell you one thing. If a little green man pops out at me Im shooting first and asking questions later.”
—Edward D. Wood, Jr. (19221978)
“Upper and Lower Kingdom will declare
Gods in this wooden toy,
no less
than where
great Taurus ploughs his course.”
—Hilda Doolittle (18861961)
“And when you stick on conversations burrs,
Dont strew your pathway with those dreadful urs.”
—Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr. (18091894)
