MacGregor retired from the NCB in 1986, rejoining Lazard's as a non-executive director. He maintained his British business interests, observing "Being British is a faith. I will never lose it."

Famous quotes containing the word life:

I love long life better than figs.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

    Sarah Bernhardt (1845–1923)
