He is married to Marie and has four children: Chloe, Oscar, Freddy and Louisa.They live at Castlehayne Farm, Colyton, Devon, nearby Park Farm is used as a filming location and as headquarters for the River Cottage food and cookery oriented courses. Oscar attends Sherborne School near Yeovil.
