History Of The Jews In Pakistan
Jews (Urdu: یہودی, "Yehudi") were a small religious group in Pakistan. Various estimates suggest that there were about 1,000 Jews living in Karachi at the beginning of the twentieth century. A smaller community of Jews also lived in Peshawar. Many of these are Baghdadi Jews, Bukharan Jews, Mizrahi Jews mainly from Central Asia, neighbouring Iran and Afghanistan. The Bene Israel Jews from India were concentrated in Karachi.
