Hickory Ridge High School - Student Body

Student Body

The student body consists of students in grades 9-12, with about 550 students per grade. The 2011-2012 school year was the fith year of the school, 2010-2011 was the first year without students from feeder high schools Jay M. Robinson High School and Central Cabarrus High School. Enrollment fluctuates around 2,331 students.

School spirit is vivid at Hickory Ridge. The "Ragin' Nation" (Originally Referred To "Ridge Ruckus" until 10/7/2011) group cheers on athletic teams at every event. The Class of 2010 was the last class to graduate from Hickory Ridge that incorporated students from two feeder schools originally used to filter students into Hickory Ridge from the surrounding area that included Central Cabarrus High School and Jay M. Robinson High School.

The Class of 2009 was the first graduating class of Hickory Ridge High School. Graduation occurred on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 4pm in the Cabarrus Arena.
