Arc Significance
- Xander jilts Anya at the altar, which has major implications for Anya's character arc. At the end of this episode, D'Hoffryn suggests that she should reprise her role as a vengeance demon.
- Willow makes a comment to Xander about them both being in formal wear. This is a reference to the Season 3 episode "Homecoming", when Xander and Willow were both in formal outfits and kissed.
