Early Life and Education
Diab was born in Lebanon, and studied sociology at the American University of Beirut. He received his Ph.D. from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. He became a Canadian citizen in 1993, and moved to Ottawa, Ontario in 2006. He holds dual citizenship.
