Ham Street railway station serves Hamstreet in Kent, England. It is on a dual-track section of the Marshlink Line, and train services are provided by Southern.
The line is unelectrified and services are operated by Class 171 Turbostar diesel trains.
A staffed booking office is provided in the building on the Ashford-bound platform. PERTIS passenger-operated self-service ticket machines have now been removed and replaced with a new Ticket Vending machine, which allows a ticket to be purchased from any origin, as opposed to just from Ham Street. PERTIS passenger-operated self-service machines were installed in connection with a Penalty Fares Scheme in 2008, are were located on both platforms. Customers are now required to purchase a ticket from the Ticket Vending Machine on the Ashford platform, if the facilities are available to purchase the ticket the customer requires.

Famous quotes containing the words ham, street, railway and/or station:
“We had some ham and eggs and took our time saying goodbye to the bright lights.”
—Stanley Kubrick (b. 1928)
“The question confronting the Church today is not any longer whether the man in the street can grasp a religious message, but how to employ the communications media so as to let him have the full impact of the Gospel message.”
—Pope John Paul II (b. 1920)
“Her personality had an architectonic quality; I think of her when I see some of the great London railway termini, especially St. Pancras, with its soot and turrets, and she overshadowed her own daughters, whom she did not understandmy mother, who liked things to be nice; my dotty aunt. But my mother had not the strength to put even some physical distance between them, let alone keep the old monster at emotional arms length.”
—Angela Carter (19401992)
“Say first, of God above, or Man below,
What can we reason, but from what we know?
Of Man what see we, but his station here,
From which to reason, or to which refer?
Thro worlds unnumberd tho the God be known,
Tis ours to trace him only in our own.
”
—Alexander Pope (16881744)
