Treatment
The treatment of choice for HACEK organisms in endocarditis is ceftriaxone, a third generation cephalosporin (penicillin-based) antibiotic. Ampicillin (a penicillin) and low-dose gentamicin (an aminoglycoside) is another therapeutic option.
