Modifications
Some AA-1s have had their original engines replaced with larger 150 or 160 hp engines that further increase performance. Other popular modifications include the addition of a dorsal strake on earlier model AA-1s to improve yaw stability or the addition of a clear red rudder cap to fair the flashing beacon for reduced drag. Some AA-1 have been converted to taildragger configuration.
