Great Lakes Christian College differentiates itself from liberal arts and Christian liberal arts schools with its emphasis on Bible/Theology, which is at the heart of education at GLCC.

Famous quotes containing the words lakes, christian and/or college:

While the very inhabitants of New England were thus fabling about the country a hundred miles inland, which was a terra incognita to them,... Champlain, the first Governor of Canada,... had already gone to war against the Iroquois in their forest forts, and penetrated to the Great Lakes and wintered there, before a Pilgrim had heard of New England.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

I’ll not be made a soft and dull-eyed fool
To shake the head, relent, and sigh, and yield
    To Christian intercessors.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

If any proof were needed of the progress of the cause for which I have worked, it is here tonight. The presence on the stage of these college women, and in the audience of all those college girls who will some day be the nation’s greatest strength, will tell their own story to the world.
    Susan B. Anthony (1820–1906)
