Rescue

Just weeks before the company went into receivership, the Metro Interactive Design group owned by Glenn Bluff with brands including PC Service Centre, Drivermagic, ehelp4u, HijackThisPro PC Trouble, computerhope UK and askDrtech attempted to enter the retail market by entering a joint venture with the ComputerShop. Famous quotes containing the word rescue:

We live in a time which has created the art of the absurd. It is our art. It contains happenings, Pop art, camp, a theater of the absurd.... Do we have the art because the absurd is the patina of waste...? Or are we face to face with a desperate or most rational effort from the deepest resources of the unconscious of us all to rescue civilization from the pit and plague of its bedding?
    Norman Mailer (b. 1923)

The personal touch between the people and the man to whom they temporarily delegated power of course conduces to a better understanding between them. Moreover, I ought not to omit to mention as a useful result of my journeying that I am to visit a great many expositions and fairs, and that the curiosity to see the President will certainly increase the box receipts and tend to rescue many commendable enterprises from financial disaster.
    William Howard Taft (1857–1930)

To rescue from oblivion even a fragment of a language which men have used and which is in danger of being lost—that is to say, one of the elements, whether good or bad, which have shaped and complicated civilization—is to extend the scope of social observation and to serve civilization.
    Victor Hugo (1802–1885)
