Granville Technology Group Ltd was a British computer retailer based in Simonstone, near Burnley, Lancashire.

Selling computers under several brands - Time; Tiny; Colossus; MJN - it sold mainly through mail-order, though late in its life added a chain of stores in the UK that traded as The Computer Shop, which rapidly grew to over 300 stores.

The company went into receivership at the end of July 2005, at which time it employed 1,600 people and was one of the largest retailers of computers in Britain, which were produced by the Time Factory located at the same site.

Famous quotes containing the words technology and/or group:

The real accomplishment of modern science and technology consists in taking ordinary men, informing them narrowly and deeply and then, through appropriate organization, arranging to have their knowledge combined with that of other specialized but equally ordinary men. This dispenses with the need for genius. The resulting performance, though less inspiring, is far more predictable.
    John Kenneth Galbraith (b. 1908)

My routines come out of total unhappiness. My audiences are my group therapy.
    Joan Rivers (b. 1935)
