Grand Hall of Justice

Grand Hall Of Justice

The Grand Hall of Justice of Mega-City One is a fictional building in the Judge Dredd comic strip in 2000 AD. It actually refers to three different buildings which existed at different times. The Grand Hall has been an important setting in several Judge Dredd stories, and one story, The Prankster, was written specifically about it.

The location was originally called "Justice HQ" but the term "Hall of Justice" first turned up in prog 11; "Justice Central" would be used as the term a few times after prog 86.

Famous quotes containing the words grand, hall and/or justice:

The great object of Education should be commensurate with the object of life. It should be a moral one; to teach self-trust: to inspire the youthful man with an interest in himself; with a curiosity touching his own nature; to acquaint him with the resources of his mind, and to teach him that there is all his strength, and to inflame him with a piety towards the Grand Mind in which he lives. Thus would education conspire with the Divine Providence.
    Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803–1882)

Generation on generation, your neck rubbed the windowsill
of the stall, smoothing the wood as the sea smooths glass.
    —Donald Hall (b. 1928)

Men are mad most of their lives; few live sane, fewer die so.... The acts of people are baffling unless we realize that their wits are disordered. Man is driven to justice by his lunacy.
    Edward Dahlberg (1900–1977)
