Google Shopping, formerly Google Product Search, Google Products and Froogle, is a internet marketplace launched by Google Inc. It was invented by Craig Nevill-Manning. Its interface provides an HTML form field into which a user can type product queries to return lists of vendors selling a particular product, as well as pricing information. Google Product Search is only available for selected countries at this point. On May 31, 2012, Google announced that Google Product Search would become Google Shopping, an entirely monetized service where merchants would have to pay Google in order for their products to be displayed.

Famous quotes containing the word shopping:
“The most important fact about our shopping malls, as distinct from the ordinary shopping centers where we go for our groceries, is that we do not need most of what they sell, not even for our pleasure or entertainment, not really even for a sensation of luxury. Little in them is essential to our survival, our work, or our play, and the same is true of the boutiques that multiply on our streets.”
