Goody's Powder - Recall

Recall

Goody's Powder underwent a nationwide product recall in December 1992 after William Williams of Morristown, Tennessee died after ingesting a packet of the powder that contained cyanide. It was later determined that the package had clear evidence of tampering and that the death probably was a suicide. Goody's Manufacturing Company, the manufacturer at the time, was not found at fault.

Famous quotes containing the word recall:

That which resembles most living one’s life over again, seems to be to recall all the circumstances of it; and, to render this remembrance more durable, to record them in writing.
    Benjamin Franklin (1706–1790)

Baltimore lay very near the immense protein factory of Chesapeake Bay, and out of the bay it ate divinely. I well recall the time when prime hard crabs of the channel species, blue in color, at least eight inches in length along the shell, and with snow-white meat almost as firm as soap, were hawked in Hollins Street of Summer mornings at ten cents a dozen.
    —H.L. (Henry Lewis)

    Who will remember happiness?
I can recall that they are dead.
I know that heaven cracked one day,
And only God knows what they said.
    Allen Tate (1899–1979)
