Gn RH Agonists - Agonists With Double and Single Substitutions

Agonists With Double and Single Substitutions

GnRH agonists are synthetically modeled after the natural GnRH decapeptide with specific amino acid substitutions typically in position 6 and 10. These substitutions inhibit rapid degradation. Agonists with 2 substitutions include:

  1. leuprolide (Lupron, Eligard)
  2. buserelin (Suprefact, Suprecor)
  3. nafarelin (Synarel) (only a single substitution at position 6)
  4. histrelin (Supprelin LA, Vantas)
  5. goserelin (Zoladex)
  6. deslorelin (Suprelorin, Ovuplant)

Triptorelin is an agonist with only a single substitution at position 6.

  • Leuprolide

  • Buserelin

  • Nafarelin

  • Histrelin

  • Goserelin

  • Deslorelin

Famous quotes containing the words double and/or single:

Well, I had gone and spoiled it again, made another mistake. A double one in fact. There were plenty of ways to get rid of that officer by some simple and plausible device, but no, I must pick out a picturesque one; it is the crying defect of my character.
Mark Twain [Samuel Langhorne Clemens] (1835–1910)

Are God and Nature then at strife,
That Nature lends such evil dreams?
So careful of the type she seems,
    So careless of the single life;
    Alfred Tennyson (1809–1892)
