Gloucestershire County League
The Gloucestershire County Football League is a football league in England, founded in 1968. The league is affiliated to the Gloucestershire County FA.
It sits at step 7 (or level 11) of the National League System and is a feeder to the Western League, although some clubs have also moved upwards to the Hellenic League, such as 2010–11 champions Brimscombe & Thrupp. The league has always consisted of a single division of clubs. In the 2012–13 season, 19 teams are competing in the league.
The Bristol & Suburban League, Bristol Premier Combination, and the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League feed the Gloucestershire County League.

Famous quotes containing the words county and/or league:
“I could draw Bloom County with my nose and pay my cleaning lady to write it, and Id bet I wouldnt lose 10% of my papers over the next twenty years. Such is the nature of comic-strips. Once established, their half-life is usually more than nuclear waste.”
—Berkeley Breathed (b. 1957)
“Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
Forward the Light Brigade!”
—Alfred Tennyson (18091892)
