Service
The station provides rail services to London Marylebone and to High Wycombe and Birmingham Snow Hill.
A single weekday service to London Paddington starts from Gerrards Cross, arriving in London at 1132 (as of the December 2011 timetable), running non-stop from West Ruislip. There is an equivalent service departing from Paddington at 1136, which runs non-stop to Gerrards Cross. Gerrards Cross - Paddington trains traverse the now rarely-used former main line between Northolt Junction and Old Oak Common Junction, in many places reduced to a single track. This section is used more frequently by freight and waste trains, and also diversions during engineering works.

Famous quotes containing the word service:
“I like the silent church before the service begins, better than any preaching. How far off, how cool, how chaste the persons look, begirt each one with a precinct or sanctuary!”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
“His character as one of the fathers of the English language would alone make his works important, even those which have little poetical merit. He was as simple as Wordsworth in preferring his homely but vigorous Saxon tongue, when it was neglected by the court, and had not yet attained to the dignity of a literature, and rendered a similar service to his country to that which Dante rendered to Italy.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
“Our chief want in life, is, someone who shall make us do what we can. This is the service of a friend. With him we are easily great.”
—Ralph Waldo Emerson (18031882)
