Famous quotes containing the word education:

When I walk in the woods, I am reminded that a wise purveyor has been there before me; my most delicate experience is typified there.
    Henry David Thoreau (1817–1862)

The education of females has been exclusively directed to fit them for displaying to advantage the charms of youth and beauty. ... though well to decorate the blossom, it is far better to prepare for the harvest.
    Emma Hart Willard (1787–1870)

school, and learning to be mad, in a dream—what is this
    life?
    Allen Ginsberg (b. 1926)
