Genesis (Busta Rhymes Album)

Genesis is the fifth studio album by Busta Rhymes. "Shut 'Em Down 2002" is an unorthodox remix of Public Enemy's "Shut 'Em Down" by Pete Rock. "Make It Hurt" is featured in the 2004 video game Def Jam: Fight for NY. The biggest single from the album, "Pass the Courvoisier", peaked at number eleven on the Billboard Hot 100. It was included at the end of the album on some later pressings (on which "Ass On Your Shoulders" was removed due to playing time restrictions). It sold 2 million copies and certified double platinum by RIAA.

Famous quotes containing the words genesis and/or rhymes:

Behold I have given you every herb bearing seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
    —Bible: Hebrew Genesis 1:29.

But in a later context, God told the disgraced Adam, “and thou shalt eat the herb of the field” (Genesis 3:18)

Always polite, fastidiously dressed in a linen duster and mask, he used to leave behind facetious rhymes signed “Black Bart, Po—8,” in mail and express boxes after he had finished rifling them.
—For the State of California, U.S. public relief program (1935-1943)
