Gelovani

The House of Gelovani (Georgian: გელოვანი) is a Georgian princely family from the lower part of the mountainous province of Svaneti – formerly rulers of Svaneti. The branches of the family domiciled in Russia spell the surname as Геловани; the British domiciled branch - as Guelovani; the German - as Gelowani; whilst Gelovani is retained by the US branch.
