The completion of the Geelong Ring Road is expected to bring large economic benefits to the region. Approximately 582 hectares of land west of the road has been identified for use as new industrial land, however resistance from nearby residents in the Lovely Banks area to two proposed service station developments has cast some cloud over future development.
