History
Gedling Miners Welfare was founded in 1919 as Gedling Collery Welfare, changing their name in 1993 to Gedling Miners Welfare. At this point the club was playing in the Nottinghamshire Football Alliance, remaining in the top division of that league apart from a single season (2000–01). In 2002 they joined the Central Midlands League. Six years later the club transferred to the East Midlands Counties League when that league was formed. The club participated in the FA Vase in 2005–06 but were knocked out in the First Qualifying Round.
