Retirement and Death
At the age of 70, Fusajiro finally retired, leaving his son-in-law Sekiryo Kaneda (whose name had changed to Sekiryo Yamauchi). For the next eleven years Fusajiro remained out of the business until his death in 1940. The cause of his death is still unknown, or at least to the public. The only documented information available is that he died just before World War II, and the remains are buried in the basement of Nintendo's original headquarters in Kyoto, Japan.
Today Nintendo is one of the dominating companies in the video game industry.

“What is history? Its beginning is that of the centuries of systematic work devoted to the solution of the enigma of death, so that death itself may eventually be overcome. That is why people write symphonies, and why they discover mathematical infinity and electromagnetic waves.”
