Frostbite (2006 Film) - Title

Title

The title is an obvious play on frostbite, the movie takes place in a frozen environment and has vampires who bite people in it. The original title was 'Something wicked this way comes'. The producers liked the title 'Frostbiten' more since it was more international, and by just cutting the last letter they had an English title. Teasers and trailers on film festivals therefore wore the name 'Frostbite'. However, it was only called 'Frostbite' in the U.K.. In the U.S. the movie is called 'Frostbitten', the exact translation of the original title.

Famous quotes containing the word title:

Bolkenstein, a Minister, was speaking on the Dutch programme from London, and he said that they ought to make a collection of diaries and letters after the war. Of course, they all made a rush at my diary immediately. Just imagine how interesting it would be if I were to publish a romance of the “Secret Annexe.” The title alone would be enough to make people think it was a detective story.
    Anne Frank (1929–1945)

    That title of respect
Which the proud soul ne’er pays but to the proud.
    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)

To revolutionize, at one effort, the universal world of human thought, human opinion, and human sentiment.... All that he has to do is to write and publish a very little book. Its title should be simple—a few plain words—”My Heart Laid Bare.” But—this little book must be true to its title.
    Edgar Allan Poe (1809–1849)
