Experiments in Art and Technology

EAT established a Technical Services Program to provide artists with technical information and assistance by matching them with engineers and scientists who can collaborate with them. Famous quotes containing the words experiments, art and/or technology:

My experiments did not turn out quite like yours, Henry. But science, like love, has her little surprises.
    William Hurlbut (1883–?)

The aim of all commentary on art now should be to make works of art—and, by analogy, our own experience—more, rather than less, real to us. The function of criticism should be to show how it is what it is, even that it is what it is, rather than to show what it means.
    Susan Sontag (b. 1933)

Primitive peoples tried to annul death by portraying the human body—we do it by finding substitutes for the human body. Technology instead of mysticism!
    Max Frisch (1911–1991)
