Fortress America (board Game) - Original Milton Bradley Release

Original Milton Bradley Release

Commercially, this was considered to be the third most successful board game in Milton Bradley's Gamemaster Series. In 1987, Fortress America won the Charles S. Roberts for Best 20th Century Game of 1986.

The original game also had two different covers. The first had an image which resembled Saddam Hussein and the other cover replaced the Saddam look a like with a bearded version.

Famous quotes containing the words original, milton, bradley and/or release:

The ideas of an age are most abundant where they are not crowded by original ideas.
    Franz Grillparzer (1791–1872)

Lap me in soft Lydian airs,
    Married to immortal verse,
Such as the meeting soul may pierce
In notes with many a winding bout
Of linked sweetness long drawn out,
With wanton heed and giddy cunning,
The melting voice through mazes running,
Untwisting all the chains that tie
    The hidden soul of harmony;
    —John Milton (1608–1674)

We have grasped the mystery of the atom and rejected the Sermon on the Mount.... The world has achieved brilliance without wisdom, power without conscience. Ours is a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants.
    —Omar Bradley (1893–1981)

The shallow consider liberty a release from all law, from every constraint. The wise man sees in it, on the contrary, the potent Law of Laws.
    Walt Whitman (1819–1892)
