Continuing north, Military trail passes by Northwood University to the east, and north of Community Drive, SR 809 becomes a service road for housing developments. Following an intersection with CR 702 (45th Street), SR 809 leaves West Palm Beach and enters Rivera Beach. There, it intersects with SR 710 (Bee Line Highway/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) diagonally before ending at SR 708 (Blue Heron Boulevard), at the outskirts of the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center.

“In the mountains the shortest route is from peak to peak, but for that you must have long legs. Aphorisms should be peaks: and those to whom they are spoken should be big and tall of stature.”
—Friedrich Nietzsche (18441900)
“God damnit, why must all those journalists be such sticklers for detail? Why, theyd hold you to an accurate description of the first time you ever made love, expecting you to remember the color of the room and the shape of the windows.”
—Lyndon Baines Johnson (19081973)
