Florida State Road 800
State Road 800 (SR 800), locally known as Spanish River Boulevard or Northwest 40th Street, is a short east–west highway in Boca Raton, Florida. Its western terminus is an intersection with County Road 809, locally known as Military Trail; the eastern terminus is an intersection with North Ocean Boulevard (Florida State Road A1A) near the Atlantic Ocean shoreline at the northeastern corner of Spanish River Park.
SR 800 provides the only access to SR A1A and the Boca Raton beaches in northern Boca Raton. It is one of only three beach access roads within the Boca Raton city limits, the other two being Palmetto Park Road (the north–south dividing line in Boca Raton, formerly Florida SR 798) and El Camino Real to the south.

“In Florida consider the flamingo,
Its color passion but its neck a question.”
—Robert Penn Warren (19051989)
“The only way into truth is through ones own annihilation; through dwelling a long time in a state of extreme and total humiliation.”
—Simone Weil (19091943)
“Such were the first rude beginnings of a town. They spoke of the practicability of a winter road to the Moosehead Carry, which would not cost much, and would connect them with steam and staging and all the busy world. I almost doubted if the lake would be there, the self-same lake, preserve its form and identity, when the shores should be cleared and settled; as if these lakes and streams which explorers report never awaited the advent of the citizen.”
—Henry David Thoreau (18171862)
